Farata

Farata another mostly preferred street food in Mauritius. It is the Mauritian version of the Indian paratha, a flattened, flaky, pan-fried bread- made up of three basic ingredients: flour, water and oil. Faratas are usually served hot, with spicy curry dishes and some tomato and coriander chutney.
This also can be found all over the Island. The farata can be eaten at any time of the day. I usually like eating it with pumpkin curry, lima bean curry, stewed taro leaves and spicy chutney.
